EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sabrina joined us in January 2023, bringing nearly 10 years of experience as an Executive Director of a national nonprofit based in the Bay Area. She was born and raised in Lake County and own a retail shop in downtown Keleyville, where she gets to be super creative.

She is an auntie to four amazing nieces and nephews, and feels so honored to be leading an organization dedicated to lifting up and honoring motherhood.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Tayla has been with Mother-Wise since March 2022. She started as our Closet Concierge, managing the incoming and outgoing donations. She is now a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and has launched our brand-new Car Seat Program. After becoming a mother herself, Tayla experienced the struggles of motherhood and realized how underserved mothers are. Through her struggles, the desire to help mothers blossomed and she stands ready to help in anyway she can. She believes that no mother should go unseen, unheard, or unappreciated. She’s a mama of two.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Alveta runs our Donations Closet, which means she is incredibly busy making sure local families get what they need. A mama of two, Alveta is integral to our mission of supporting perinatal mamas by providing them with much-needed items. She is very passionate about supporting others, and loves working at Mother-Wise. She believes firmly that wee are making positive changes in the world by helping other moms build strong families.

Alveta loves trying new food places with her family, going fishing, bike riding, and heading out on adventures with her kiddos.

BILINGUAL PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Joana joined us in August 2023. She works with Melody to support hundreds of perinatal mothers across Lake County, focusing on Spanish-speaking mamas. Joana moved to the States a few years ago from Brazil, and has a three year old son.

She is interested in culture, traveling, self-development, and enjoying the outdoors. She loves working for Mother-Wise because she wants to help moms navigate motherhood in a happy and guiltless way!
